French Ligue 1 outfit Olympique de Marseille are reportedly plotting a summer move for Super Eagles striker Akor Adams, Footynaija.com reports.
Adams was one of Sevilla’s most important players during a difficult campaign, playing a crucial role in helping the Andalusian club preserve their La Liga status.
The former Montpellier striker finished the season with 10 league goals, delivering a number of decisive performances when Sevilla needed them most.
His exploits have not gone unnoticed across Europe, with several clubs believed to be monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, Marseille appear to have taken the most concrete step so far in their pursuit of the powerful Nigerian attacker.
According to Ficherio, the Ligue 1 giants are willing to offer €15 million plus bonuses that could take the overall package to €18 million. The proposal would also include French forward Neal Maupay, who spent part of last season on loan at Sevilla.
Marseille are said to view Adams as an ideal addition to his ability to play with his back to goal and proven scoring record in one of Europe’s top leagues. The French side are eager to strengthen their squad as they prepare for another campaign that could include UCL football.
Sevilla’s stance on Akor Adams’ potential departure

Despite the growing interest, Sevilla are reportedly unwilling to sanction a cut-price sale. Club officials are believed to value Adams at around €25 million and remain confident that further interest could drive up his market value before the close of the transfer window.
While Sevilla’s financial situation means player sales cannot be completely ruled out, the club are under no immediate pressure to accept Marseille’s opening proposal.
With Premier League clubs also credited with interest in the striker, the battle for Adams’ signature could intensify in the coming weeks.
For now, Sevilla remain firm in their stance, leaving Marseille with a decision to make if they are serious about bringing the Nigerian goalscorer to the Stade Velodrome.
