Galatasaray have moved decisively to strengthen their financial grip on Victor Osimhen, even as interest grows from Real Madrid and Barcelona ahead of the 2026 summer window, Footynaija reports.

The Turkish champions, who completed Osimhen’s permanent signing from Napoli in July 2025, have been working behind the scenes to restructure the financial demands of one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards. The deal, worth €75m and spread across instalments, secured the Nigeria striker on a contract until 2029, with total annual earnings rising to €21m through salary, bonuses and image rights.

However, speaking on the 343 Digital YouTube channel, Turkish journalist Haluk Yürekli revealed that Galatasaray have now reached multiple commercial agreements designed to significantly offset those costs.

“Victor Osimhen will earn Galatasaray 6 million Euros by appearing in 3 commercials. The agreements have been made. One is with Pasifik, one of Galatasaray’s sponsors. Another is with the company undertaking Galatasaray’s Florya project. There’s one more. With these commercials, Galatasaray has reduced Osimhen’s salary from 21 million Euros to 15 million Euros.”

He added: “Galatasaray has one more advertising deal remaining. Negotiations are underway for that as well. Since Galatasaray has also purchased Victor Osimhen’s image rights, they will reduce their cost from 21 million Euros to around 13 million Euros by having him appear in 4 advertisements per year.”

These agreements are part of a wider commercial strategy from the club to ensure Osimhen’s presence remains financially sustainable while maximising his global appeal.

The developments come at a time when both Madrid and Barcelona are closely monitoring the striker. Madrid are understood to be seeking a traditional number nine to complement Kylian Mbappé, while Barcelona view Osimhen as a long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski.

Yet any move would require a fee well in excess of €100m, alongside the challenge of matching his current earnings.
