Millwall winger Femi Azeez has been recognised for a superb run of performances after being named the EFL Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for February 2026, Footynaija reports.
The 24-year-old was one of the key figures behind Millwall’s strong form during the month, helping the London side win four of their five league matches. Azeez delivered five direct goal contributions across that period, scoring once and setting up four others as Millwall pushed their way up the table.
One of his most memorable moments came at The Den during a commanding 3–0 victory over Birmingham City. Azeez opened the scoring with a spectacular volley that has already been mentioned among early contenders for the Championship’s Goal of the Season.
The winger saw off stiff competition to claim the monthly prize, beating Leo Scienza of Southampton, Sydie Peck from Sheffield United, and Haji Wright of Coventry City.
“I’m absolutely delighted to win this award,” Azeez told Millwall’s official website. “It’s a special moment for me – I have to thank my team mates as well; it’s been a good month. We just need to keep going now!”
Millwall manager Alex Neil was equally full of praise for the winger, describing him as a key attacking figure for the side this season.
“It’s well deserved. He has been our talisman this year and every time he has been on form, we have definitely carried an extra threat at the top end of the pitch,” Neil said.
🚨 Millwall winger Femi Azeez is attracting interest from Everton, Crystal Palace, and Leeds United.

Everton-linked Azeez’s rise has not been straightforward. Born in Westminster, he spent time in the academy at Watford before being released at 14. He rebuilt his career in the lower tiers of English football, turning out for Northwood, Wealdstone and Hanwell Town before earning a move to Reading in 2019.
After establishing himself at Reading, Azeez secured a permanent switch to Millwall in August 2024, where his pace and direct style on the right wing have made him a constant threat.
His performances have also attracted interest from Nigeria. With Eric Chelle reportedly monitoring the winger ahead of upcoming international fixtures, Azeez’s latest accolade could strengthen his case for a first call-up to the Super Eagles.
