Getafe president Angel has revealed that the Spanish club are willing to reintegrate Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche in their first team setup should Crystal Palace opt against making his loan deal permanent, Footynaija.com reports.
Uche joined Palace on loan from the La Liga side last summer, with the deal including an obligation to buy for about €20 million on the condition that the Nigeria international racks up ten starts for Oliver Glasser’s side.
At the time of the move, that condition appeared to be very achievable given Uche’s exploits for Getafe both last season and at the start of the ongoing campaign. However, life in the Premier League hasn’t gone according to plan.

So far, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder has struggled to find his feet at Selhurst Park. He is yet to make a single start in the English top flight division, with all of his 14 appearances coming off the bench.
As things stand, it looks increasingly unlikely that Uche will meet the appearance-based conditions that would’ve made a permanent purchase compulsory for Crystal Palace but Torres is not too worried about the Nigerian star’s situation in South London.

“He has offers from other countries outside the Premier League, and he’ll decide,” Torres said, per quotes on Complete Sport. “That, or he can come back; he has three years left on his contract. We’d be delighted if he returned if he can’t be sold.”
Uche’s loan spell at Crystal Palace will come to an end when the current season finishes in May and it appears that the Super Eagles midfielder will be returning to the Estadio Coliseum where he remains on a contract until the summer of 2028.
The former AD Ceuta star is still rated highly in Spain according to reports and his struggles in England have done little to diminish the reputation he built last season after eleven goal contributions for Getafe.
