According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, officials from the Nigerian Football Federation have tracked him for months, viewing him as a strong candidate to strengthen the team’s midfield ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifying push.
Even if he misses the November fixtures, a spot in Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations preparations in December remains likely.
At club level, Moses is attracting serious attention from Europe’s top leagues, with several clubs reportedly moving early to sign him. But for Nigeria, his rapid development and balance between flair and discipline are what make him a priority target.

Interestingly, the young midfielder’s football idols are not Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
In an interview with Football Club, Moses said he grew up admiring Neymar and Super Eagles winger Moses Simon, citing their passion and expressive style.
“I like the passion Simon plays with,” he said. “When I scored goals or did something, I was Neymar.”
That mix of Nigerian heart and Brazilian flair could soon earn him a place in Chelle’s evolving Super Eagles side, as the national team looks to inject youthful energy and creativity into its ranks.
