Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has expressed confidence in Galatasaray ahead of crucial upcoming games against Trabzonspor and Ajax Amsterdam in the Turkish Super Lig and UEFA Champions League respectively, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen is following up last season’s sensational loan spell at the Istanbul based club with a similarly impressive level of impact this term after Galatasaray made his stay at RAMS Park permanent in the summer.
The Nigeria international recently helped Galatasaray to a 3-1 Super Lig victory over Gotzepe, scoring the all-important equalizer that spurred the champions on to a comfortable win and clinching the MOTM award.
Up next for Osimhen and the Lions are tricky fixtures against Trabzonspor and Ajax respectively. But the masked hitman isn’t worried as he believes Galatasaray has what it takes to beat any team in the world.

“I have a lot of respect for Trabzonspor and Ajax,” Osimhen told Sporx in a recent interview.
“They have great players. They’re great teams. But as I’ve said before, we have the quality to beat any team in the world.
“We’re ready for them. We won’t play easy matches. We’ll give everything we have to win.”

Osimhen’s confidence is not misplaced as Galatasaray have enjoyed a near perfect start to their Super Lig title defense. The Lions also enjoyed arguably their biggest win of the season so far against Liverpool in the Champions League.
However, they would need to be wary of an in-form Trabzonspor side that will be eager to reduce their five-point deficit at the summit of the Super Lig, which Gala currently tops, table to just two.
Also, Ajax will pose a considerable amount of threat on the continent themselves. The Dutch giants are yet to win any points in the UCL league phase so far and they’ll be desperate to get a result in front of their home fans.
With Osimhen’s current goal-scoring form though – six goals in nine appearances across all competitions – Galatasaray will confidently fancy their chances of getting favourable outcomes from both games.
