Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika is maintaining a positive disposition despite currently facing up to six weeks on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury during his last outing for Club Brugge, Footynaija.com reports.
Onyedika was helped off the pitch in the first half of Brugge’s Belgian Pro League clash against Westerlo on Wednesday night. He watched the remainder of that game from the sidelines with both sides going on to score five goals each in a thrilling contest.
The 24-year-old is set to remain on the sidelines for up to six weeks, ruling him out of crucial games for both club and country. He will miss Club Brugge’s upcoming UEFA Champions League clash with Atalanta as well as upcoming Super Eagles qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin.

Despite his unfortunate situation, Onyedika is staying positive as evidenced by his recent social media interaction with Super Eagles teammate and close friend Victor Boniface.
Boniface, popular for his light-hearted posts on social media, shared a picture of his injured international teammate on Instagram, captioned “Stay strong broski.” However the Werder Bremen star went further and added in Nigerian pidgin English “If you like, you fit give up sha.”
Catching the drift, Onyedika shared a light-hearted response of his own, posting “When life gives you bitter leaf, use it to make bitter leaf soup… See you soon.”

Onyedika’s response to Boniface alludes to the need to try and make the best out of whatever situation one finds themselves in.
The Super Eagles star will be cheering on his club and international teammates from the sidelines as he focuses on recovering from his injury.
