Ademola Lookman has ended his stand-off with Atalanta and rejoined full training, raising hopes of a Serie A return against Torino this weekend, Footynaija.com reports.

The Nigerian forward had been sidelined since July after a summer transfer saga saw him push for a move to Inter Milan.

Inter’s €45m bid was rejected, with Atalanta demanding closer to €50m, while Bayern Munich’s late loan approach was dismissed outright. The stalemate left Lookman frustrated and frozen out as he trained away from the squad.

Reports in Italy confirm the 27-year-old met new coach Ivan Jurić and addressed his teammates on Thursday, admitting the summer had been “difficult” but pledging his commitment for the campaign ahead. He is yet to feature for La Dea this season but is now expected to be in contention for Sunday’s clash with Torino.

Lookman’s reintegration comes at a crucial time. Atalanta remain unbeaten in Serie A but are reeling from a bruising 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League opener. The Super Eagles winger, who scored 17 goals last term, could provide the spark Jurić’s men desperately need to reset after that European setback.

Despite the truce, questions linger over Lookman’s long-term future in Bergamo. With his contract running and suitors circling, the January window could revive speculation. For now, though, Atalanta will welcome back a proven match-winner as they look to regain momentum at home and abroad.
