Dessers, who has been the subject of persistent transfer speculation linking him with Panathinaikos, AEK Athens, and Hellas Verona, was introduced in the 72nd minute but made little impact in the scrappy encounter.

For Dessers, the stalemate offered little chance to showcase the form that saw him claim the Scottish Premiership Golden Boot last season with 18 league goals.
The 30-year-old, who represented Nigeria in the Unity Cup earlier this year under new coach Eric Chelle, continues to provide an experienced option in attack, but uncertainty over his future lingers as the transfer deadline approaches.
