Russian defender Danil Krugovoy has fired a strong warning to the Super Eagles ahead of their international friendly clash in Moscow, stating that the Russia national team will be out for nothing less than a win come June 6, Footynaija.com reports.
The Super Eagles will face Russia at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, the capital city of Russia, as part of this summer’s series of international friendly games.
Nigeria will go into the game against Russia off the back of two impressive displays that saw them emerge champions of the Unity Cup after edging competition from Ghana and Jamaica in London.

However, Russia’s Krugovoy believes that his side have nothing to be afraid of despite the Super Eagles’ obvious strength. In fact, Krugovoy insists that their home advantage obliges them to win.
“There are no jitters, we are playing at home,” Krugovoy said in an interview with Match TV. “I hope that many fans will come, Luzhniki will be completely packed. Nigeria is a good team, we are obliged to beat them at home.”
Ahead of this clash, both teams are set to be without a number of key players. Nigeria in particular will be missing the likes of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Victor Boniface and Alex Iwobi, all of whom also missed out on Nigeria’s Unity Cup triumph.
In addition, Cyriel Dessers, Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Chukwueze, and Nathan Tella, who played key roles in the Unity Cup for Nigeria, will also miss the friendly match against the 2018 World Cup hosts.
