Nigerian fullback Bruno Onyemaechi has added a second trophy to his collection just five months after arriving in Greece, Footynaija.com reports.

Onyemaechi helped Olympiacos to secure a 2-0 win over OFI Crete to claim the Greek Cup and complete a historic domestic double.

The Super Eagles defender featured as a late substitute in the final at Athens’ Olympic Stadium, replacing Francisco Ortega in the 89th minute to help preserve Olympiacos’ narrow lead before Roman Yaremchuk sealed victory in stoppage time.

Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi opened the scoring inside nine minutes with a smart finish, setting the tone for a dominant performance by the newly crowned Greek Super League champions.

Despite spirited resistance from OFI Crete, Olympiacos maintained control throughout, showing the depth and composure that have defined their campaign.

Onyemaechi, who joined Olympiacos from Portuguese side Boavista in January, has quickly made his mark. While he was not in the starting line-up for the final, his defensive contributions in the closing stages were key to shutting down OFI’s late surge.

Yaremchuk’s late goal ensured a comfortable scoreline and confirmed Olympiacos’ 29th Greek Cup triumph and their 19th domestic double.

For Onyemaechi, this marks a remarkable start to life in Piraeus. Two trophies in as many months is no small feat, and the 25-year-old now looks set to push for a more prominent role next season as he continues to impress at club and international level.
