Juventus have taken pole position in the race to sign Victor Osimhen, with reports suggesting the Nigerian forward is keen to reunite with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli in Turin, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen, 26, endured a turbulent final season at Napoli, where tensions with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis ultimately paved the way for his exit last summer. While he had hoped to secure a move to elite European sides such as Paris Saint-Germain or Chelsea, no agreement was reached, prompting a surprise switch to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
However, the Super Eagles frontman is expected to leave Galatasaray this summer, and Juventus are believed to be his preferred destination.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, Osimhen regards Giuntoli, who brought him to Napoli in 2020, as his ‘football godfather’ and is prepared to wait for the Bianconeri’s offer — despite interest from Saudi side Al-Ahli.
Napoli inserted a €75m release clause into Osimhen’s contract, but that fee is only valid for foreign clubs. Juventus would need to negotiate directly with Napoli, who are reluctant to strengthen a domestic rival but may have little choice. Osimhen’s contract expires in 2026, and an automatic one-year extension would raise his salary to a league-high €15m.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray fans are making a last-ditch plea to keep their star striker. Osimhen has been instrumental in the club’s push for a domestic double, scoring 24 goals and providing five assists in 28 league appearances.
Galatasaray fans have started a hashtag movement on X to try and get Victor Osimhen to stay at the club…

With a Turkish Cup final looming on May 14 and a league title within reach, supporters have launched a social media campaign under the banner “Stay with us Osimhen” — amassing over 600,000 posts.
Yet with top European clubs circling and Juventus waiting in the wings, Galatasaray may struggle to hold on to their prized asset.
