Galatasaray’s struggles in the absence of Victor Osimhen have opened the door for a potential Super Eagles strike partnership, with Turkish football commentator Oguz Altay suggesting Gift Orban as a possible solution, Footynaija.com reports.
The Turkish giants have endured a difficult run without Osimhen, losing 4-0 to Trabzonspor and 3-1 to Sporting CP in recent weeks, while also needing a narrow 1-0 win over Kocaelispor.
Osimhen’s absence has once again highlighted Galatasaray’s reliance on the Nigerian forward for goals and attacking threat, with the club now potentially needing another option capable of sharing the workload.
Altay believes they could find that player in Orban, who has made an impressive start to life in Turkey since joining Amedspor from Hoffenheim on loan.

“Let me tell you something. You don’t need to look too hard,” Altay said, as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.
“Get Orban from Amedspor as a second striker alongside Osimhen. I really like Deniz Gül, that’s a separate matter, but you’ll create an incredible game.”
The 24-year-old has wasted little time making his mark at Amedspor, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in his first six league appearances.
Altay was particularly impressed by the Nigerian’s pace, dribbling ability and versatility in front of goal, while also highlighting his defensive work for the team.

“He’s very fast, he dribbles past defenders, he scores all kinds of goals. He scores with volleys, headers, long-range shots, placed shots, and he helps with team defense. He’s a good player,” he added.
For Galatasaray, Orban’s arrival could offer two possibilities. He could provide cover whenever Osimhen is unavailable, while both Nigerians could also operate together when fit, giving the Turkish giants another attacking combination to work with.
