West Ham United have made a formal move for 20-year-old Nigerian winger Daniel Job as they look to strengthen their squad for a push back to the Premier League, Footynaija reports.
Football Norge reports that West Ham had already made a bid for Job after scouts watched him in Norway. Further reports from Inside Futbol and SportExpressen say the offer is worth about €4m (£3.4m or ₦6.2 billion). There is no confirmation yet that Kongsvinger have accepted the bid.
Job has caught attention with his form in Norway’s second tier. Kongsvinger’s official statistics list seven goals and seven assists from 15 league matches in 2026.
The Nigerian joined Kongsvinger after spells with Sarpsborg 08 and Egersund. He scored 10 goals in 15 matches for Sarpsborg 08’s second team in 2024 before moving into senior football.
West Ham’s interest comes after relegation from the Premier League. Nuno Espírito Santo’s side began their Championship campaign away to Burnley on 16 August, while the club have also lost Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes this summer.
Lecce are also reported to have made an offer for Job, with Anderlecht and Cologne among the clubs interested. West Ham now face competition to secure a player who could add pace and attacking options to their promotion campaign.
