“AIK Football agrees with 18-year-old midfielder Oreoluwa Agbenla and his Nigerian club Beyond Limits FA on an agreement that runs until 31 December 2030,” the club said.
“The agreement is a so-called transfer player agreement, which means that it is written as an A-team contract but where the player will initially belong to the club’s academy team.”
AIK delighted by Oreoluwa Agbenla’s arrival
Agbenla arrives in Sweden with a growing reputation after catching the eye with Beyond Limits, while also representing Nigeria at the 2024 WAFU B U-17 Championship.
AIK recruitment manager Miika Takkula expressed his delight at securing the youngster’s signature, highlighting the qualities that convinced the Swedish club to pursue the Nigerian midfielder.

“Oreoluwa is a versatile ‘box-to-box’ type midfielder with good understanding of the game. He plays maturely, balancing offensive and defensive efforts, while also being adept at finishing inside the opponent’s penalty area,” Takkula said.
“He is a player who likes to combo and create chances for his teammates. He is also very safe with the ball. AIK has scouted him since the beginning of 2025 and also saw him in the Gothia Cup when his club visited the tournament.”
The move offers Agbenla the opportunity to continue his development in Europe, where he will hope to progress through AIK’s ranks and establish himself in the club’s first team in the coming years.
