Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland have confirmed the signing of highly-rated Nigerian youngster Olashile Musa Lawal from FC Ebedei, with the 18-year-old set to continue his development in the club’s renowned academy system, Footynaija.com reports.
Lawal becomes the latest product of the long-standing partnership between FC Ebedei and Midtjylland, a pathway that has helped launch the careers of several Nigerian stars who have gone on to make their mark in European football.
The promising forward will initially join Midtjylland’s U-19 squad as he begins the next phase of his career in Denmark, with the club viewing him as another exciting prospect capable of progressing through the ranks.
Speaking after completing the move, Lawal described the transfer as a dream come true and expressed his determination to make the most of the opportunity.

“It means an incredible amount to me. Since I was little, I have dreamed of taking this very step – it is huge,” the youngster told Midtjylland’s official website.
“I have a lot of goals for myself and I know this is a big step in the right direction for me. I want to help the team and show what I can do as part of the academy.
“I’m really looking forward to becoming part of the team, and I look forward to developing as a player and learning from the others.”
Olashile Lawal follows in footsteps of Super Eagles stars

Lawal will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of several successful Nigerian footballers who made the same journey from FC Ebedei to Midtjylland.
Former Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka developed into a first-team regular before earning a move to England, while towering striker Paul Onuachu used the Danish club as a springboard to establish himself as one of Europe’s most prolific forwards.
More recently, Raphael Onyedika impressed in Midtjylland colours before securing a transfer to Belgium, while fellow forward Musiliu Olayinka Odekunle also completed the move from FC Ebedei as part of the club’s continued investment in Nigerian talent.
