Swedish giants AIK have confirmed talks over the transfer of Nigeria kidwonder Zadok Yohanna that could become the biggest sale in the club’s history, Footynaija reports.
The 18-year-old winger has attracted strong interest from across Europe after a breakthrough season in Sweden. AIK revealed that negotiations are ongoing and that the offers being considered would surpass every outgoing transfer in the club’s history.
Such a move would see Yohanna overtake the long-standing benchmark set by Swedish striker Alexander Isak, who left AIK for Borussia Dortmund in 2017 in a deal worth about €8.6 million. Nearly ten years later, that record now appears set to fall to a teenager from Nigeria.
Reports in Sweden suggest AIK could make more than €12 million from the deal, a figure that would represent a significant profit on a player who only arrived at the club in July 2025. Brighton & Hove Albion are among the clubs linked with the winger, although several other European sides are also believed to be monitoring his situation.
Yohanna’s journey began at Ikon Allah Football Academy in Kaduna, where his pace, dribbling and ability to beat defenders quickly drew attention. AIK moved swiftly to secure his signature and handed him a contract until 2029, viewing him as one of the club’s most exciting long-term projects.
After settling into life in Sweden, the youngster announced himself in style during the 2026 campaign. He scored twice in a Svenska Cupen victory over BK Häcken before finding the net again on the opening weekend of the Allsvenskan season against Halmstads BK.
His performances earned him widespread praise and even a call-up to the Super Eagles squad under Eric Chelle. Although injury prevented him from joining Nigeria during the international window, his reputation has continued to grow.
Now, with transfer negotiations underway and AIK preparing for a record-breaking sale, Yohanna appears ready to take the next step in a career that is rapidly gathering momentum.
