Femi Azeez’s stock in world football continues to rise after the Millwall winger was handed a career-high market valuation of €15 million following an outstanding year for club and country, Footynaija reports.
The new figure represents a remarkable rise for the 24-year-old, who joined Millwall from Reading in 2024 for a fee believed to be around £1 million. Less than two years later, he has become one of the Championship’s most sought-after players and one of Nigeria’s fastest-rising stars.
His new value places him as Millwall’s most valuable player and Nigeria’s ninth, behind the likes of Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, and ahead of Wilfred Ndidi and Victor Boniface.
Azeez’s impressive campaign played a major role in Millwall’s push for promotion. The winger contributed 11 goals and eight assists in 37 league appearances as the Lions finished third in the Championship. His performances earned him a place in the division’s Team of the Season and attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.
Reports suggest Millwall have already turned down a £20 million offer from Ipswich Town, with the club believed to be holding out for a significantly higher fee.
His growing reputation was further strengthened during the Unity Cup in London, where he announced himself on the international stage in spectacular fashion. After choosing to represent Nigeria ahead of England and Spain, Azeez scored both goals on his Super Eagles debut in a 2-0 semi-final victory over Zimbabwe. He then supplied an assist in the final against Jamaica as Nigeria lifted the trophy.
Those performances quickly convinced many supporters that Eric Chelle may have discovered another important attacking option.
With his ability to play on either flank, create chances and contribute goals, Azeez offers something different alongside established stars such as Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Moses Simon.
If his current trajectory continues, Azeez could soon become a regular fixture in the Super Eagles squad and a major transfer target for Premier League clubs.
