Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has won the Scottish Premiership with Celtic after remarkable comeback at Celtic Park saw the Hoops emerge with a 3-1 victory over Heart of Midlothian, Footynaija.com reports.
Celtic found themselves trailing in the first half despite a dominant display, with Hearts skipper Lawrence Shankland powering an emphatic header into the back of the net in the 43rd minute, following Stephen Kingsley’s corner.
However, the Hoops responded almost immediately after a contentious call from the referee, penalizing Hearts midfielder Alexandros Kyziridis for a handball inside the box.

Designated penalty taker Iheanacho started from the bench so the responsibility fell to Arne Engels, who kept his calm to squeeze his spot kick under Alexander Schwolow to level matters heading into the interval.
Celtic came out guns blazing in the second half as they looked to turn the game on its head with Iheanacho, who came off the bench after half time, hitting the woodwork with a fine strike from outside the box while the likes of Engels, Daizen Maeda and Callum Osmond also missed good chances.

Martin O’Neil’s side eventually got the reward for their efforts in the 87th minute when Osmond got in behind Hearts’ defense with a perfectly timed run to slip Maeda through on goal. The Hoops then sealed the game with a third through Osmond to win their fifth straight league title.
Although Iheanacho did not get on the score sheet at Celtic Park, the Nigerian marksman will take pride in all of his decisive contributions that he made in the run up to today’s game.
With a 56th league crown in the bag, both Iheanacho and the club can now turn attention to discussing his future at Celtic Park.
