Fulham manager Marco Silva has provided an update regarding the potential availability of Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi ahead of this weekend’s trip to the Molineux for a match against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Footynaija.com reports.
Iwobi has missed Fulham’s last three outings in the Premier League with a hamstring injury. In that time, the Cottagers have struggled for consistency, recording one victory before back to back defeats against Arsenal and Bournemouth.
Ahead of their visit to Wolves on Sunday, Silva confirmed the Nigeria international’s return to full fitness and availability for the game while also expressing relief at having his talents at the team’s disposal for these final weeks of the season.

“Alex is back in contention for the game,” the Portuguese said, via Fulham’s official website.
“Last week, he had some training sessions with us. This week, throughout the week, he’s been working with us. It’s been a good week for him.
“He’s a big player for us, definitely. He’s a player who’s very versatile, who can play in many different positions. He’s also a player that can add extra quality in the decision making.
“In all aspects of the game he’s a key player for us and he’s shown it again this season. It’s a boost. Definitely, it’s a boost.”

Despite their recent struggles in the league, Fulham will head into Sunday’s clash at the Molineux with plenty of confidence having taken all three points in their last two top flight encounters with EFL Championship bound Wolves.
Before his injury, Iwobi made the starting XI of every Premier League game he was available for. Hence, it will not be out of place to see the 29-year-old involved from the first whistle in Sunday’s clash.
