Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas are stepping up their pursuit of Anthony Dennis following the Nigerian midfielder’s impressive run of performances in the Turkish top flight division this season, Footynaija.com reports.
Dennis has emerged as one of the most promising young players in the division, establishing himself as a key man for Goztepe with a series of consistent performances in the heart of midfield.
The 21-year-old Nigerian’s rapid development has not gone unnoticed, with Besiktas now moving to position themselves as his next destination ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to a recent report from Fotomac, the Istanbul giants have tracked Dennis for several months, identifying him as a strong fit for their system. His energy, ball-winning ability and tactical awareness align with the demands of a high-intensity midfield setup, making him an attractive option as the club look to reinforce their squad.
However, any potential deal is expected to come with complications. Goztepe are under no immediate pressure to sell, with Dennis tied to the club until 2027. That contractual security places them in a strong negotiating position, with reports suggesting a fee in the region of €8–10 million would be required to open discussions.
The fact that Besiktas are attempting to sign a key player from a domestic rival further adds to the complexity of the situation, making negotiations far from straightforward.

Interest in Dennis is also growing outside of Turkey with Spanish La Liga outfit Villarreal and Bundesliga side Mainz 05 among European clubs monitoring his current situation.
Besiktas may have registered their interest early, but securing Dennis’ signature will require decisive action in an increasingly competitive market.
