Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka is already a fan favourite at Coventry City, following a strong start to his loan spell at the EFL Championship club, Footynaija.com reports.
Onyeka’s arrival at Coventry City has coincided with three straight EFL Championship wins for The Sky Blues, including victories over the likes of Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United.
What makes this even more significant is that prior to the Nigeria international joining on loan from Brentford during the winter transfer window, Coventry City were on a three game winless run that had seen them concede top spot to Middlesbrough.

Onyeka’s impact for The Sky Blues isn’t flying under the radar, with fans of the club taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to rave about the Super Eagles star, following their most recent win over Sheffield United.
One fan wrote; “Frank Onyeka IS HIM. Don’t give a **** what Brentford charge us, if we go up, he will have been worth EVERY penny. It is no coincidence whatsoever that we know how to see games out suddenly.”
Expressing admiration for the Brentford loanee in more subtle words, another fan echoed the sentiment; “The way he wins fouls, and breaks up play, is prem level. Exactly what we need to see out this season.”
Coventry City will be under obligation to acquire Onyeka’s services on a permanent basis should they secure promotion to the Premier League and from the look of things, The Sky Blues’ fans are already relishing the prospect of this eventuality.
City, under the guidance of Frank Lampard, are on course to return to the English top flight for the first time in 25 years. They currently sit top of the Championship standings with five points separating them from the chasing pack.
