Trabzonspor have submitted an offer to Lazio for Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, reopening transfer speculation around a player whose future in Rome remains uncertain, footynaija.com reports.
Dele-Bashiru only returned to Lazio this week after representing Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where he recorded one assist in three appearances as the Super Eagles finished third. His return, however, comes at a difficult moment for Lazio, who are still searching for consistency and were recently beaten 3-0 at home by Cesc Fabregas’ Como.
The 24-year-old initially joined Lazio on loan before the move was made permanent following an impressive first spell, but he has since struggled to secure a regular starting place under Maurizio Sarri.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport via LazioNews, Trabzonspor have now made a concrete and financially attractive proposal.
Despite this, the midfielder is reportedly not fully convinced about returning to Turkey, a league he knows well from his successful time at Hatayspor.
Instead, Dele-Bashiru is believed to be more interested in a move to the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest have been mentioned in recent days, although no formal offer has arrived, with only exploratory contacts so far.
Dele-Bashiru, meanwhile, is in no hurry to decide and is prepared to wait for what he believes could be better opportunities, especially from England.
