Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika is reportedly keen to secure a move away from Belgian Pro League outfit Club Brugge amid concrete interest in his services from Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray, Footynaija.com understands.

Onyedika’s future at Brugge has recently been shrouded in uncertainty after reports emerged that Galatasaray were interested in acquiring the Nigerian midfielder, who was also the subject of numerous speculations during the 2025 summer transfer window.

Club Brugge have already knocked back an earlier approach from the Super Lig champions for Onyedika’s signature but that offer is not completely off the table as the Nigeria international appears to now be angling for a departure from Jan Breydelstadion this month.

According to recent reports from Voetbalkant, Onyedika believes the time is right for him to take his talents elsewhere. The reports further stated that the 24-year-old is positive about securing a move away from Belgium this month.

However, Club Brugge, who were initially willing to sanction Onyedika’s departure if suitors meet a €25 million asking price, have now switched their stance and are now looking determined to keep a hold of one of their most important players.

The Belgians face a tough task though, especially after Onyedika’s international teammate Victor Osimhen publicly backed Galatasaray’s pursuit by admitting that he spoke to the midfielder about a potential move to Istanbul in a recent interview.

Eintracht Frankfurt have also re-entered the race, having registered their interest in the Nigeria international since last summer. The Germans are closely monitoring his situation, although they are yet to make any official offer.

Club Brugge want to hold on to Onyedika at least until the summer, but the midfielder’s desire for a change of scenery could yet force their hands before the end of the winter transfer window. It will be interesting to see how this one develops.
