Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka could secure a move away from Brentford before the January transfer window closes, with clubs from England, Germany and France actively pushing for his signature, Footynaija.com reports.

Onyeka has struggled for regular minutes at the Gtech Community Stadium this season, despite delivering solid performances whenever Brentford call on him.

Frustrated by his limited role, the Super Eagles star has begun exploring his options as European interest in his services continues to intensify.

In England, EFL Championship side Coventry City have stepped up their pursuit of the midfielder. The Sky Blues want to reinforce their midfield and have identified Onyeka as a key target due to his energy, ball-winning qualities and top-flight experience.

Sources claim both parties have opened talks, although negotiations remain ongoing with no agreement reached yet. Beyond England, clubs in Germany and France have also entered the race.

According to a recent report from Footy-Africa, teams from both countries have submitted offers for Onyeka, who appears to be enjoying a growing appeal across Europe.

His previous experience in the Bundesliga has strengthened his profile on the continent, with scouts confident in his ability to settle quickly in a new environment.

Onyeka further boosted his reputation with his performances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he played a vital role in Nigeria’s impressive campaign.

He brought intensity and physical dominance to the Super Eagles’ midfield, earning praise for his tireless work rate throughout the tournament. Brentford remain open to discussions and could sanction either a loan move or a permanent transfer.
