Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru could be set to leave Italy this winter as a number of English and Turkish clubs are interested in his services, footynaija.com reports.

Premier League clubs Sunderland and Nottingham Forest are the latest clubs to be linked with a move for Dele-Bashiru, according to Africa Soccer.

West Brom and Trabzonspor were previously the leading admirers in the race for the midfielders signature.

Trabzonspor have repprtedly taken the first concrete step by contacting Lazio about a possible deal for the Nigeria midfielder.

The Turkish Super Lig side are understood to have opened exploratory talks with the Serie A club to establish the conditions of any move.

Lazio are believed to have set a valuation in the region of €15m to €20m, reflecting not only his importance to the squad but also the fact that he is under contract until June 2028. While that figure is significantly higher than his current estimated market value, it is understood the Italian club see the midfielder as an asset whose versatility, athleticism and potential justify a premium price.

Trabzonspor are not the only club paying attention. In England, Nottingham Forest and Sunderland have both been linked, with the two Premier League sides said to be keeping close tabs as the race for his signature begins to take shape.

The 24th is now being regarded as one of the most in-form Nigerian midfielders on the continent, a status boosted further by his performances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Dele-Bashiru’s growing appeal is rooted in a strong international tournament. He provided an assist in Nigeria’s 3-1 group-stage win over Uganda and was also influential in the third-place play-off against Egypt, which the Super Eagles won on penalties to secure a bronze medal.

For now, there is no agreement in place and discussions remain at an early stage. But with interest building and Lazio facing a decision over whether to keep or sell, Dele-Bashiru’s future could become one of the more closely watched transfer stories in the days ahead.
