Wolves forward Tolu Arokodare believes Sunday’s West Midlands derby against Aston Villa offers a rare opening for a team that has struggled for form under Rob Edwards, Footynaija.com reports.
The Super Eagles forward has called for full focus as Wolves fight to climb off the bottom of the Premier League.
Wolves go into the derby with no league win and a painful run that continued with last week’s 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace. That match showed just how tough the task is for Edwards, who took over after a rocky start to the season.

Arokodare started that game, just his second Premier League start after the September clash with Newcastle. It was another tough outing for the team, and with the season pushing on, the pressure to get results keeps building.
The new manager bounce many hoped would come with Edwards’ appointment hasn’t happened, and the recent loss at Molineux was another clear sign of how much work still lies ahead.
It is in this setting that Arokodare has tried to steady the mood within the camp.
As reported by the Express and Star, he said: “It is a local derby so it is exciting for the fans but, no disrespect, I am going to take it like any other game because we have not had the right results, so we have to focus on the match.”
“This could be the game that might change everything for us and hopefully in a positive way by way of three points,” he added.
