Super Eagles forwards Tolu Arokodare and Samuel Chukwueze featured in Premier League action over the weekend, with different fortunes, Footynaija.com reports.

Arokodare, who has started only two games for Wolves, featured in a 2‑0 home defeat to Crystal Palace, while Chukwueze came off the bench to provide the decisive assist in Fulham’s 1‑0 win over Sunderland.

Wolves remain bottom of the Premier League table after twelve games, with just two points. Daniel Muñoz broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute, and Yeremy Pino added a second six minutes later, leaving the hosts unable to respond despite Arokodare starting alongside Jørgen Strand Larsen.

Arokodare has struggled to open his Premier League account for Wolves, but he’s shown glimpses of his goal threat in other competitions. He found the net in the Carabao Cup, opening his Wolves goalscoring tally with a clever finish in a 2-0 win over Everton and later scoring in a 4-3 defeat to Chelsea, proving he knows how to step up when it counts.

Internationally, he remains a proven finisher, scoring Nigeria’s lone goal in their 1-0 victory over Rwanda during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. That performance earned him Man of the Match honours and showed the clinical edge Wolves are hoping to see more of in the league.

Meanwhile at Craven Cottage, Chukwueze made an instant impression for Fulham. Brought on in the 64th minute, he whipped in a sharp low cross that Raúl Jiménez tucked away in the 84th to seal the win.

This was Chukwueze’s second Premier League assist for Fulham since joining the London club on loan from AC Milan, adding to his earlier setup for Ryan Sessegnon against Bournemouth.

Fulham controlled much of the game with 24 shots and long spells of possession, but it was the Nigerian winger’s impact off the bench that sealed the win and moved the team up to 14th in the table.
