In Italy, Gift Orban endured another frustrating outing as VAR chalked off his early strike in Verona’s 2–1 home defeat to Parma.
The Nigerian striker thought he had put his side ahead inside 10 minutes, only for the decision to be overturned for offside, adding to Verona’s winless run after 12 Serie A matches.

There was joy, however, for Jennifer Echegini in France. The Super Falcons midfielder scored her first goal of the season as PSG Féminines beat Saint-Étienne 4–1 to stay within touching distance of leaders Lyon. Echegini, increasingly influential in midfield, sealed the win with a composed stoppage-time finish.
In Germany, Victor Boniface continues to search for his first goal for Werder Bremen after a quiet second-half cameo in their 2–0 defeat to RB Leipzig.

Meanwhile in Turkey, Anthony Dennis impressed in Goztepe’s midfield during a disciplined 0–0 draw with Kocaelispor as he fights for an AFCON place.
Wilfred Ndidi put in a full-shift for Besiktas in their 1–1 draw with Samsunspor, offering composure and defensive balance.
