Galatasaray are ready to return for Nigeria international Ademola Lookman when the transfer window reopens in January, Footynaija.com reports.
The Turkish giants, led by Okan Buruk, are now looking at another move for the Atalanta forward after missing out on him in the summer.
The Istanbul giants want to add more firepower to their attack and believe Lookman’s creativity and direct play could complement their high-tempo frontline.

The club are also said to be excited by the idea of reuniting Lookman with his Super Eagles teammate, Victor Osimhen, especially if Galatasaray continue to push their wider interest in signing top Nigerian talents from across Europe.
Buruk has never hidden his admiration for the 27-year-old winger, who scored 20 goals for Atalanta last season across all competitions. As confirmed in a report by PUNCH Sports Extra, the Galatasaray manager remains a big admirer of Lookman and is determined to bring him to Istanbul after their earlier attempt failed.
Reports say Galatasaray initially wanted a loan deal during the summer window, but Atalanta refused, insisting they would only consider a permanent transfer. The Serie A club were said to value Lookman at around €55 million, a figure Galatasaray were unwilling to meet.
However, the Turkish champions are still looking to boost their attack, and they are now getting ready to make a new offer when the January transfer window opens.
Sources close to the deal claim discussions have already started between Lookman’s representatives and Galatasaray officials, though Atalanta will again have the final say.
