Nottingham Forest have confirmed former Burnley and Everton boss, Sean Dyche as the new manager of Super Eagles stars Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi, following the recent dismissal of Ange Postecoglou, Footynaija.com reports.
Forest, in search of stability after a disappointing start to the season, have turned to Dyche, who built a reputation for stabilizing rocking clubs during his time in charge at Turf Moor and Goodison Park.
The 54-year-old comes on board as Nottingham Forest’s third manager this season, replacing Postecoglou who endured an ill-fated 40-day reign after taking the place of Portuguese manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

A club statement confirming the appointment reads: Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the appointment of Sean Dyche as the Club’s new Head Coach, following a thorough recruitment process led by Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar, and Global Technical Director, George Syrianos.
“Having managed more than 330 Premier League matches in his career to date, Dyche has built teams defined by defensive organisation, resilience, and strength from set pieces —qualities that align closely with the current squad’s attributes and the club’s footballing identity.
“As a former Forest youth player who lives locally, Dyche also has a deep understanding of the values and pride of Forest and its supporters. Dyche brings the perfect blend of character, tactical acumen and proven achievement to guide the club through its next chapter.”
What Sean Dyche’s appointment means for Aina and Awoniyi

Unfortunately, Aina, who didn’t even feature under Postecoglou, is still sidelined as he continues to recuperate after undergoing surgery on a torn hamstring last month. Hence, the Nigerian full-back is out of contention to make a strong impression on his new manager.
However, the situation is different for Awoniyi, who is currently fit and made his first appearance of the season in last weekend’s loss to Chelsea. Big Awo was far behind in the pecking order of striking options under Nuno and Postecoglou but the arrival of a new coach offers a fresh opportunity to re-establish himself in the squad.
Dyche will take charge of his first match on Thursday night as Nottingham Forest take on FC Porto in the Europa League. His first Premier League game will be a tough trip to high-flying Bournemouth.
