Super Eagles goalkeeper Kayode Bankole has completed a move to TS Galaxy in South Africa, marking a new chapter in his growing career after a fine run of performances in the Nigerian Professional Football League, Footynaija.com reports.
The former Remo Stars shot-stopper has built a strong reputation for himself in recent seasons, keeping 43 clean sheets in fewer than 100 appearances for the Ikenne-based side.
His impressive form earned him a call-up to the Super Eagles earlier this year under coach Eric Chelle, where he spent some time with the senior team. That experience was a huge boost for the young goalkeeper, who had long been viewed as one of Nigeria’s most promising talents between the sticks.

His move to South Africa was confirmed by TS Galaxy, with the club announcing his signing to strengthen their goalkeeping department.
The move also means he will now share the same league with Stanley Nwabali, Super Eagles number 1 goalkeeper who currently plays for Chippa United.
At Remo Stars, Bankole became a fan favourite thanks to his quick reactions and solid command of the penalty area. His clean sheet record speaks for itself, and he played a big role in helping the club maintain one of the best defensive records in the NPFL.
The development adds an exciting twist to the South African Premier Division, as both Nigerian goalkeepers will now be competing in the same league. It also creates healthy competition for the Super Eagles’ goalkeeping spots, with both men now playing abroad and gaining international exposure.
