Paul Onuachu’s revival in Turkey continued on Saturday as the Nigerian striker rescued Trabzonspor with a excellent finish in their 1-1 draw against Gaziantep, Footynaija.com reports.
The visitors struck first at Papara Park, with Kévin Rodrigues firing Gaziantep into the lead midway through the first half.
Trabzonspor pressed for a response and eventually found it through Onuachu in the 70th minute and it came via a surprising source.

It was the forward’s third goal in six league outings this season, adding to strikes against Kocaelispor and Samsunspor.
After an unconvincing spell in England, the 30-year-old has quickly re-established himself as Trabzonspor’s focal point, offering both presence and goals.
The draw moves Trabzonspor to 11 points, leaving them fourth in the Turkish Super Lig, four behind early leaders Galatasaray who still have a game in hand.
For Onuachu, the form couldn’t come at a better time. With Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign resuming in October, he has made a strong case for a recall to Eric Chelle’s squad.
If his partnership with Onana continues to click, Trabzonspor may yet mount a serious push for silverware this season.
