Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi was the star of the show, as Fulham fought back from a goal down to beat London rivals Brentford 3-1 in the Premier League, thanks to his first half goal and assist, Footynaija.com reports.
Mikkel Damsgaard put Brentford ahead in the 20th minute, but Alex Iwobi struck back in the 38th before turning provider for Harry Wilson less than two minutes later, giving Fulham a 2-1 lead at the interval.
The Cottagers tightened their grip early in the second half, as Ethan Pinnock’s own goal just five minutes after the restart extended their advantage to two, setting them up for a comfortable win.

“To connect with the ball in such a way that you guide it calmly and precisely into the corner, with finesse and technique, is extremely difficult. That’s what made the goal perfect—the pass and the finish together.
“It’s a risky pass because obviously you are counting on the defenders not reading your pass. The speed of that pass, the moment of the pass, to know how to pass it to a teammate.
“All these small technical details, no selfishness as well, seeing someone in a better position, trying to find him. These are the simple things that sometimes make the difference between a good team and a great team.”
Iwobi opened his Premier League account for the season with his goal while also registering his second assist. Fulham have eight points from five games after recording two wins, two draws and one defeat so far.
