Kparobo Arierhi has promised that the Flying Eagles will “give everything” to make Nigeria proud at the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup set to take place in Chile, Footynaija.com reports.
The Flying Eagles booked their place at the U20 World Cup after reaching the semifinals of the Total Energies CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations that was held in Egypt earlier this season.
Led by Aliyu Zubairu, Nigeria’s young Eagles find themselves in a tricky Group F with the likes of Norway, Saudi Arabia and Colombia for company.
They are set to kick off their campaign against Norway on Monday, September 29 at Estadio Fiscal de Talca and Arierhi, who plies his trade in Norway for Mjodalen IF, is confident that Nigeria will have a better outing than they did at the U20 AFCON in Egypt.
What Kparobo Arierhi said
”We are really preparing and doing our best trying to learn new things in training which we can execute in the tournament and I strongly believe we are ready for this and give our best and do what we know how to do best,” he told Ademola Victor TV.
“The AFCON didn’t go the way we wanted but now we are opportune to play in the World Cup and we will make sure we give everything to make our country, ourselves and family proud.”
”It’s really nice playing in Norway because I also know some of my friends that also play in the Norway national team. So it’s going to be really nice playing against them on the same pitch and I believe we will give our best and do everything possible to get the points.”

Nigeria enter the tournament with a bit of pedigree, having twice finished as runners-up (1989 and 2005. Zubairu and the Flying Eagles will be aiming to lay down an early marker in Group F by taking all three points against Norway.
