Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala marked her Al Hilal debut with a goal as the Saudi Women’s Premier League side secured a dramatic 4-3 victory over Al Qadsiah on Friday, Footynaija.com reports.
Oshoala, who joined the Riyadh-based club after a short stint with Bay FC in the United States, featured for the entire 90 minutes and showed her trademark composure in front of goal.
Al Bandari Mobarak put Al Hilal ahead on the half-hour mark and doubled the advantage six minutes later. Al Qadsiah, however, refused to fold, with Lea Le Garrec pulling one back just before halftime.
Adriana completed the comeback for the visitors in the 59th minute, sparking real tension in the contest. Just when the pressure was mounting, Oshoala stepped up, converting a penalty two minutes after the hour mark to restore Al Hilal’s lead and open her account in Saudi football.

Portuguese forward Jessica Silva extended the cushion with a fine strike 16 minutes from time, before Dzsenifer Marozsán grabbed a late consolation for Al Qadsiah in stoppage time.
The goal was a fitting continuation of Oshoala’s fine summer. The six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year played a key role for Nigeria at the 2024 WAFCON in Morocco as the Super Falcons secured a record-extending 10th triumph.
Her arrival at Al Hilal comes after a glittering spell at Barcelona Femení, where she won multiple league titles and a UEFA Women’s Champions League medal. She also enjoyed a brief stint with Bay FC in the NWSL.
Now in Saudi Arabia, Oshoala looks set to become the face of Al Hilal’s ambitious project after beginning her journey in style with a clutch debut performance.
