Super Eagles and AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze has backed returning manager Massimiliano Allegri to lead the Rossoneri back to the summit of Italian football, Footynaija.com reports.
Allegri is currently overseeing his second spell in charge of Milan, having previously spent four years at the helm of affairs in San Siro (2010-2014). In those four years, he managed to lead the Rossoneri to Scudetto glory in 2010/2011.
Allegri left Milan for Turin in 2014 and led Juventus to five consecutive Serie A titles. Now that he’s back at the club where his top-flight managerial career began, Chukwueze has backed the Italian to succeed.
What Samuel Chukwueze said about Massimiliano Allegri

“Coach Allegri is a great coach, everyone knows that; he’s won a lot in his career and being here now, he wants to win trophies with Milan too,” the Nigeria international said in quotes revealed by Milan News.
“He’s a great coach; he knows what he wants. He works with the players, he knows how to interact with them, he knows what the players want and what he needs.
“He’s a great coach, both defensively and offensively. We just have to keep working with him and try to do what he asks of us. You can’t do things your own way; you have to listen to the coach. If we do that, we’ll get results.”

Despite Chukwueze’s high praise for Max Allegri, whether the electric Super Eagles winger will get the opportunity to stake his claim for a spot in the Italian manager’s setup remains uncertain.
The former Villarreal man has somewhat underwhelmed since joining the ranks of the Rossoneri and recent reports suggest the club now view him as surplus to requirements and are open to sanctioning an exit.
Fulham are the latest club to express interest in securing the Nigerian winger, with the Cottagers thought to be really keen on his acquisition. With the new season fast approaching, a switch to London could be on the cards for Chukwueze.
