Victor Osimhen’s transfer saga could still take a dramatic turn, with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal still hopeful of landing the Nigerian striker once their FIFA Club World Cup campaign concludes, Footynaija.com reports.

Osimhen appeared to slam the door shut on a big-money move to Al-Hilal earlier in the summer, reportedly turning down the club’s offer despite Napoli’s willingness to sell and cash in on his hefty release clause.

But according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, the final chapter may not have been written yet.

“The Osimhen affair must be followed day by day. If tomorrow he wakes up and decides to take 50-60 million a year from Al-Hilal, end of broadcasts and we will not talk about it anymore,” Pedullà said on his YouTube channel as per Spazio Napoli.

“There will certainly be further pressure, let’s see: he had said no because he did not want to play in the Club World Cup, maybe now he will think about it more concretely. He is indecipherable because he often changes his mind.”

Osimhen’s main reason for turning down Al-Hilal was reportedly his unwillingness to feature in the Club World Cup.

However, with the Saudi giants now set to face Manchester City in the round of 16, Pedullà believes the striker may reconsider after the tournament ends.

Napoli are desperate to offload the 26-year-old in order to reinvest €75 million in new signings, but the player is said to be holding out for a Premier League switch — although no English club has yet made a concrete offer.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are also monitoring the situation, but haven’t matched Napoli’s valuation or Osimhen’s personal terms.

For now, Osimhen remains unpredictable, with his future still delicately poised.
