Sevilla are reportedly open to selling Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke following fresh criticism over his behaviour during the holiday break, Footynaija.com reports.
The Nigerian forward, who joined the La Liga side last summer, has found himself at the centre of controversy after multiple videos surfaced online showing him taking part in unsupervised street football games in Nigeria.
The 26-year-old was seen playing on a makeshift pitch, wearing a Valencia shirt belonging to his close friend and fellow Nigerian international, Umar Sadiq.

According to a report by Punch Sports Extra, insiders at the Andalusian club see Ejuke’s recent behaviour as “a reflection of the same impulsiveness and lack of discipline that marked his inconsistent debut season in Spain.”
The footage quickly made its way to Spain, where it sparked outrage among Sevilla supporters. In one clip that went viral on TikTok, Ejuke failed to complete a dribble and fell, leading to mocking comments.
Ejuke’s 2024–25 campaign at Sevilla was far from smooth. After being signed as the first acquisition under sporting director Víctor Orta, he struggled to establish himself. Injuries, particularly a muscle setback in autumn that ruled him out for nearly three months, further disrupted his momentum.
Now, with Sevilla still recovering from a chaotic season in which they narrowly avoided relegation to the Segunda División, the club is not taking any chances. The board, already under pressure from a divided fanbase and growing calls for reform, is looking to make changes ahead of the 2025–26 season.
Spanish outlet AS reports that Sevilla are “open to offers and wouldn’t object to his departure.”
