Victor Moses Biography

Born on December 12, 1990, in Kaduna, Nigeria, Victor Moses lost his parents at age 11 during religious riots. Sent to the UK for safety, he was placed with a foster family in South London, where his football talent quickly emerged while attending Stanley Technical High School.

Playing for local side Cosmos 90 FC, he was scouted by Crystal Palace, whose academy he joined. Palace helped him secure a place at Whitgift School, where he flourished under the guidance of coach Colin Pates, scoring over 100 goals and leading his school to multiple titles, including a national cup final where he scored all five goals.

Moses began his professional career with Crystal Palace in the Championship before earning a move to Wigan Athletic, where he made his Premier League debut in 2010. His impressive development led to a transfer to Chelsea in 2012, where he scored ten goals and won the Europa League in his first season. However, he spent the next few years on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City, and West Ham United.

Moses returned to Chelsea for the 2016/2017 season, playing a key role in their Premier League title win with 34 appearances. He later had further loan spells at Fenerbahçe, Inter Milan, and Spartak Moscow.

Internationally, though he represented England at various youth levels, Moses chose to play for Nigeria, making his senior debut in 2012. He earned 38 caps and scored 12 goals, playing in two World Cups and helping Nigeria win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations before retiring from international football in 2018.

He is currently on the books at EFL Championship side Luton Town after joining the Hatters last summer on a free transfer.
