Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar is attracting serious interest from the Middle East, with a Qatari club reportedly preparing a €30 million offer to lure him away from Spain this summer, Footynaija.com reports.
The 28-year-old, currently on loan at Valencia from Real Sociedad, has revitalised his form after a difficult spell in San Sebastián.
Signed by Sociedad in 2022 following a prolific run at Almeria — where he scored 43 goals in 84 appearances — Sadiq struggled to establish himself at the Basque club.

His fortunes turned after a January loan to Valencia, where he’s been a revelation. Sadiq has struck five goals in just nine La Liga starts, playing a pivotal role in pulling the Mestalla side out of a relegation scrap and into the hunt for European qualification.
Valencia have an option to make the deal permanent for €9.5 million, and sources close to the club suggest they are seriously considering activating it before the June deadline.
However, interest from Qatar has complicated matters. With a potential €30 million bid on the table, Valencia could seal his signing and then quickly turn a substantial profit — or keep the in-form striker for next season’s European campaign.
For Real Sociedad, the risk is clear: miss out on both a revived Sadiq and a major payday.
Valencia, meanwhile, sit two points off Rayo Vallecano in the race for the Conference League with four games to go — and Sadiq Umar may yet prove the difference in a dramatic end to the season.
