Nigeria’s Super Eagles have kicked off preparations in London ahead of their highly anticipated Unity Cup opener against Ghana, with 20 players already in camp, Footynaija.com reports.
Europe-based regulars Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, Cyriel Dessers, Felix Agu, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Nathan Tella, and Semi Ajayi are among the early arrivals.
They are joined by seasoned forward Ahmed Musa and defender Igho Ogbu as head coach Eric Chelle intensifies training for Wednesday’s crucial clash at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium.
The early camp also features a solid home-based contingent, including Junior Nduka, Sodiq Ismaila, Waliu Ojetoye, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Papa Mustapha, Saviour Isaac, Collins Ugwueze, Sikiru Alimi, and Abubakar Adamu. Their presence reflects Chelle’s intent to blend international experience with domestic promise.

More arrivals are expected within the next 24 hours, including goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye and Amas Obasogie, as well as defenders Chrisantus Uche and Bruno Onyemaechi. AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze and Tolu Arokodare are also due to report soon.
The 2025 Unity Cup, which runs from May 27 to 31, brings together Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago in a celebration of football and cultural ties across Africa and the Caribbean.
With Nigeria set to face fierce rivals Ghana on May 28, momentum is building in camp. For Chelle and his squad, it’s a vital opportunity to sharpen team chemistry and give NPFL talents a stage to impress ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming competitive fixtures.
