Former Hibernian and Livingston midfielder cum football pundit Marvin Bartley believes Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers would do a better job leading the line at Celtic than Adam Idah, Footynaija.com reports.
Both players have enjoyed great individual campaigns in front of goal this season. Dessers boasts an impressive tally of 25 goals and 7 assists in 52 appearances for Rangers while Idah has notched 18 goals and one assist in 50 appearances for Celtic.
However, it is the latter whose goals have contributed to a Championship winning campaign with Celtic claiming a 55th Scottish Premiership title to equal the number of Premierships won by their Old Firm rivals.

Bartley, who played most of his pro career in England before spending his latter years at Hibernian and Livingston respectively, gave his thoughts on Idah’s impact for Celtic this season before suggesting that Dessers would have done a better job.
“Yeah, well, [Idah’s goals at] Aston Villa springs to mind, doesn’t it?” Bartley began as quoted by 67 Hail Hail.
“When he was given that start, he definitely does extremely well in that, and that’s the thing, at times you can see Adam Idah like that, but there have been other games where he’s looked off it for the level that’s probably needed to be a main number nine at Celtic.
“Even the one that he runs through with Liam Kelly, I know he scores later on with a deflection, but for me, I had no confidence that he was going to run through and put that ball in the back of the net.
“I just think Dessers would outscore him and outperform him in that Celtic team. I think that Celtic team is something to be feared.”
