The Flying Eagles of Nigeria are preparing to take on the Rising Stars of Kenya in their final Group B game of the ongoing 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Cairo, Egypt, Footynaija.com reports.

Nigeria have enjoyed a decent campaign so far. They remain unbeaten after two games with an opening day 1-0 triumph over Tunisia followed by that drab goalless draw against Morocco on matchday 2.

Meanwhile, Kenya have endured a rather difficult time in Cairo after suffering back to back defeats against Morocco and Tunisia despite opening the scoring in both games.

A crucial match for both sides

Wednesday’s game and its eventual result could have significant ramifications for the progress of both teams in this tournament.

Although a point would see them through to the knockout rounds, the Flying Eagles will be eyeing all three as they aim to finish on top of Group B and potentially avoid a tough match-up in the quarterfinals.

As for the Rising Stars, their record of zero points from two games puts them in serious danger of elimination. They will need a convincing victory over the Flying Eagles to potentially put themselves in contention to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams.
