Transfer insider reveals the truth about Osimhen to Manchester United

Victor Osimhen’s hopes of playing for Manchester United have taken a fresh hit after trusted transfer reporter David Ornstein ruled out any summer move to Old Trafford, Footynaija.com reports.

The Napoli striker, who has been in stunning form this season during his loan at Galatasaray, had reportedly agreed personal terms with United, but the latest update suggests the deal is off — if there was a deal in the first place.

Osimhen has scored 30 goals in 34 matches across all competitions for Galatasaray this season, according to Transfermarkt, putting him among the most prolific strikers in Europe.

With several clubs monitoring him, many fans expected the Red Devils to lead the race by activating his €75 million release clause. However, that no longer seems to be the case.

According to Ornstein, Manchester United are not planning to pursue the 26-year-old Super Eagles forward. As reported by Legit.ng, and confirmed by many media outlets, Osimhen is “not on Manchester United’s agenda” for the upcoming transfer window, despite heavy speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League giants.

The club’s change in transfer direction appears tied to budget constraints and their uncertain qualification for European competitions.

Instead of spending big, the Manchester side is expected to keep faith with current striker Rasmus Hojlund or turn to cheaper alternatives.

Hojlund, who managed just 10 goals in his debut Premier League season, is still seen as a long-term project under the club’s management.

Osimhen, who has openly expressed his desire to play in England, was previously seen as an ideal fit for United’s evolving squad. But with the latest revelation from Ornstein, those dreams have cooled off for now.

This latest twist comes as Osimhen prepares for life after Galatasaray. Turkish pundit Ertem Sener has confirmed that the Nigerian forward will leave the Turkish champions at the end of his loan spell.

With Manchester United now out of the picture, attention shifts to other interested clubs. Chelsea, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked in recent months, and a summer move still looks likely, but just not to the red side of Manchester.
