Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is attracting interest from Premier League and Serie A clubs Bournemouth and AC Milan ahead of the summer transfer window, Footynaija.com reports.

Okoye is once again in the transfer spotlight following a string of impressive performances for Udinese in the Serie A this season. The Nigerian shot-stopper has been in fine form, keeping clean sheets and pulling off key saves that have not gone unnoticed across Europe.

His resurgence has reportedly attracted interest from several clubs, with Premier League side Bournemouth and Serie A giants AC Milan leading the race.

According to reports from Africa Foot, Bournemouth have already made contact with Udinese and tabled a €13 million bid for the former Sparta Rotterdam star. The Cherries are keen to bolster their goalkeeping department and see Okoye as a long-term solution between the sticks.

AC Milan, who were previously linked with Okoye last summer, are also said to be considering a renewed bid. The Rossoneri were unsuccessful in their initial attempt but remain admirers of the 24-year-old and could relaunch their pursuit when the summer transfer window opens.

Despite the growing interest, Udinese may be reluctant to let go of Okoye given his recent rise in form. However, a substantial offer could tempt the Italian club to part ways with the Nigeria international.

Okoye was once tipped to become Nigeria’s undisputed first-choice goalkeeper, but a dip in form and inconsistency saw him lose that spot to Stanley Nwabali. Nonetheless, a move to the Premier League, coupled with regular game-time, could reignite his international career and put him back in contention for the Super Eagles’ number one jersey.
