Former Nigeria international striker Victor Agali has urged fan to exercise some patience with the Super Eagles amid their struggles in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Footynaija.com reports.
The Super Eagles have stumbled and stuttered in their bid to secure a ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to be hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States of America after missing out on the Mundial back in 2022.

Despite boasting an array of stars and being arguably the strongest team in group C on paper, the Nigeria national team have managed to secure all three points from just one of their six games in the qualifiers.
Their most recent round of fixtures, under the tutelage of new boss Eric Chelle, provided them with a chance to turn the tide and gain some momentum.
However, they fumbled a 1-0 lead and settled for another draw with Zimbabwe in Uyo after defeating Rwanda in Kigali.
Agali’s message to Nigerians

Agali, who earned 12 caps for Nigeria within a four-year span and scored five times, has called on fans to be patient and continue to support the Super Eagles despite the current frustrations.
“We should be patient with them. We should also support and encourage them. They are our younger ones and, as such, deserve our patience and encouragement to grow,” he said in an interview with Complete Sports.
“There’s also a possibility of them winning all the games and still not qualifying. It’s not a matter of life and death.
“We’ll be happy for them to qualify, but we should also be patient and allow them to achieve it, but if they don’t, let’s still encourage them and prepare for the next time. Life goes on.
“We want the team to qualify. We want the Nigerian flag flying in Mexico, the USA, and Canada. I believe we can still make it, but if it doesn’t happen, we take it in good faith and move on.”
