It has been a blessed Saturday for Nigerian attackers in Spain as the trio of Rasheedat Ajibade, Edna Imade and Gift Monday were on fire for their clubs in the Primera División Femenina, Soccernet.football reports.

Super Falcons skipper Ajibade scored Atlético Madrid’s only goal of the game in their 1-1 draw with Levante Badalona inside the Estadi Municipal de Badalona.

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder netted her sixth goal of the campaign and her first in 2025 in the 16th minute of the encounter to hand the visitors the lead.

However, Spanish forward Irina Uribe equalised for the home team early in the second half to deny Atlético Madrid their second win of the year, following their 3-0 triumph over Levante last week.

The best of Nigerian talent was on display at the Ciudad Deportiva del Granada CF as Granada fought out a tough 2-1 win over UD Tenerife.

While Super Falcons prospect Edna Imade was on target for Granada, Nigeria international Gift Monday also got on the scoresheet for Tenerife.

The two teams were evenly matched until Imade broke the deadlock in the 39th minute for her 11th goal of the campaign.

Imade is easily the most in-form player in the Spanish top flight at the moment as she has now scored in each of her last seven games across all competitions for Granada.

Ariadna Mingueza doubled Granada’s advantage five minutes into the second half.

However, Gift Monday ensured the match ended on a nervy note for the hosts as she found the net with a fine finish on the stroke of regulation time.

Monday, who has been efficient in her last three appearances for Tenerife, has now managed seven goals in 13 league games this term. That is the most the 23-year-old attacker has managed in a single season since she joined Tenerife from Nigerian side Rivers Angels in 2022.
