Harry Kane etched his name in Bundesliga history yet again, netting a stunning hat-trick for Bayern Munich in their commanding 3-0 victory over Augsburg on Friday night, Soccernet.football reports.

The treble not only secured three points for the Bavarians but also marked Kane as the fastest player to score 50 Bundesliga goals, surpassing Erling Haaland’s previous record.

The England captain reached the milestone in just 43 games, seven fewer than Haaland achieved during his prolific spell at Borussia Dortmund.

Reflecting on this achievement, Kane said, “Records are always nice, but I’m just here to help the team win games and, hopefully, trophies.”

This latest feat underlines the Englishman’s impact since swapping North London for Munich last season, where he has already scored 61 goals in 61 appearances across all competitions.

Kane’s decision to join Bayern Munich last summer paused his pursuit of Premier League records, including Alan Shearer’s all-time tally of 260 goals.

Kane departed Tottenham with 213 league goals, sitting second on the list.

Asked about Shearer’s record, he remarked, “I’ve always said that record is something I’d love to chase. Maybe one day, but right now, my focus is here in Munich.”

While Kane narrowly missed breaking Robert Lewandowski’s single-season Bundesliga record of 41 goals last term, his current form suggests he may have another shot at eclipsing the Polish striker.

Bayern’s win extends their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to eight points, and with Kane in this kind of form, they look primed for another dominant campaign.
