Ahead of Argentina’s South American qualifying match against Bolivia, national team coach Lionel Scaloni did not rule out playing Lionel Messi, Julián Álvarez, and Lautaro Martínez together.

Speaking to the press as per EjuTV, Scaloni stated, “It is a possibility,” signaling a potent attacking lineup for the clash.

Reflecting on Argentina’s recent performance against Venezuela, Scaloni acknowledged the team’s challenging schedule.

“Everyone saw what the match was like and the conditions under which it was played,” he said. Despite the difficulties, he praised his squad’s recovery, adding, “They all responded very well.”

As for Bolivia, Scaloni emphasized the need for focus. “We think that regardless of who is up front, we have the utmost respect. They are doing well… we cannot be complacent at any time.” Scaloni further warned of Bolivia’s quick counterattacks and strong midfield.

When discussing team selection, Scaloni mentioned the possibility of fielding just one striker but acknowledged Lautaro Martínez’s impressive form. “Lautaro is in for the Ballon d’Or… he had a spectacular year,” Scaloni remarked.

Scaloni also addressed player injuries, notably Franco Carboni’s. “It was the worst part of this training camp,” he said, expressing sympathy for the young player.

On Messi’s influence, Scaloni reaffirmed his importance, stating, “He is important for the game because almost everything depends on him.”

Despite 80 games at the helm, Scaloni remains humble, noting, “It makes me proud how we have faced the good and the bad beyond the titles.”
